The Rock of History is a symbolic visual narrative that transforms the natural landscape and structure of Al Rafisah Dam into a living chronicle of memory and identity. Showcasing the elements (such as limestone outcrops, desert, water, stone tools, landscape and nature) which are found in Faya Palaeolandscape, the place becomes a living reflection of belonging, where generations meet, and identity is preserved in stone and soul. The work magnifies the festival credo of welcoming, shared identity. By layering cultures in luminous geological strata, the show proves that every community, from Paleolithic age to our times, found sanctuary on the same desert bedrock and then made space for the next generation. The audience watches perspectives invert and eras interchange, yet the cliff and Sharjah itself remains the constant host. With the use of the state-of-the-art technology, the show reflects how the landscape holds the roots of community for the people who call it a home.
